Brendan T. Shannon
Brendan presently works as a Law Clerk, pending admission to the New York State Bar; after which, he will practice as an Associate Attorney. Notably, Brendan passed the New York Bar Exam and expects admission to the New York Bar in early 2021. Currently, Brendan is learning the vagaries of the New York State Workers’ Compensation system and the Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations. Brendan also assists the firm’s attorneys with legal research and writing on a wide variety of legal issues.
Brendan earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Canisius College in 2017, graduating magna cum laude. In 2020, Brendan earned his Juris Doctorate from the University at Buffalo School of Law, graduating cum laude. Brendan earned the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in Torts, as a first-year law student.
During his final semester of law school, Brendan served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Lawrence J. Vilardo, United States District Judge for the Western District of New York. As a Judicial Intern, Brendan helped Judge Vilardo and his chambers staff draft Social Security Disability decisions, bench memos on various areas of law, and routinely observed complex criminal proceedings.
Brendan was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and is an avid reader and film buff. During his free time, Brendan enjoys playing pickup basketball, attending concerts, and sampling local restaurants with friends and family.
